Concord Pacific unveiled its newest neighbourhood “False Creek Central”. Situated at the Cambie Gateway to Downtown Vancouver, it will connect Marinaside, Coopers’ Park and Yaletown neighbourhoods to Vancouver’s Sports and Entertainment District. The neighbourhood, along with Vancouver’s Urban Resort by Paragon/VOX 360, is an investment worth over a billion dollars. Concord’s new neighbourhood will be comprised of 8 buildings, 90,000 square feet of commercial, retail and services and more than 1300 homes. A new pedestrian and bicycle route will connect downtown Vancouver to the seawall and the Cambie Street Bridge. Vancouver’s Urban Resort will be comprised of two four and five star hotels, convention facilities, restaurants, retail, a spa and entertainment.

“We are pleased to introduce yet another neighbourhood to Concord Pacific Place Master‐Planned Community ,” Concord Pacific’s Senior Vice‐President of Development Peter Webb remarked. “False Creek Central is the latest addition to the community and will provide significant services and a variety of housing options for Vancouverites.” Planned for Concord’s 90,000 square feet of amenities will be a 30,000 square foot public fitness and wellness club, expansive restaurant and lounge, cafés, an urban market, pharmacy, financial services, boutique retail and a number of other day to day services. The most significant portion of retail will be realized early in the One Pacific development going to market this month.

Through development and construction of the neighbourhood, there will be 1500 jobs generated. The neighbourhood will employ over 2000 people at completion. “The economic impact and spin off benefits of this community will be huge, ” explained Gary Jobin of BladeRunner’s. “Part of the mix of workers employed will be disadvantaged ‘street‐involved’ youth. As with past Concord developments, it will give them an opportunity to enter into the workforce and learn skills that will send them in a positive life direction. “

Concord Pacific’s first development in the neigbourhood will be One Pacific. It will be comprised of over 400 homes and will house approximately half of the commercial space for the neighbourhood. Vancouver’s Urban Resort is estimated to be complete at the end of 2016.
