A UNIQUE JAPANESE IZAKAYA STYLE
IRASHAII!!! (Welcome!!!) – is shouted when you come into Hapa Izakaya
We had an amazing time at the Hapa Izakaya Yaletown location. The atmosphere was just perfect, sophisticated, romantic yet fun, and the food, which was directly recommended by Chefs – Masafumi Okuno and Alvaro Montes De Oca was just amazing. Hapa Izakaya is highly recommended for everyone, it’s great if you’re looking for a fun night with your friends, a romantic night with your loved one, a business meeting or just to enjoy one of the most delicious foods in Vancouver.
When Lea and Justin Ault introduced Hapa in 2003 they exploded the izakaya concept in Vancouver. Hapa Izakaya’s combination of a sexy room, well-priced portions of Japanese tapas, beer and premium sake took the city by storm; Hapa set the bar high for the host of contenders that followed. Today, Hapa continues to be a standout for its presentation of Japanese food in a city where Asian dining endures stiff competition. It remains the place to go when you’re in the mood for a unique blend of food, fun and culture. All three locations – Robson, Kitsilano and now Yaletown – are open from 5:30pm to midnight, Sunday through Thursday, and until 1am on Friday and Saturday.
