THE $458 MILLION RETRACTABLE ROOF – SLOWLY TAKING SHAPE, PIECE BY PIECE.
The $563-million construction at BC Place Stadium is more than halfway through. Revealing over 7500 square metres of clear blue sky, the new $458-million retractable roof will turn BC Place into a year-round, open-air facility and a new architectural signature for our province. The cable-supported roof is the biggest of its kind in the world and will allow for tailoring the atmosphere for any event, the transformation will take just 20 minutes.
