The landscape design for Main Street Arts by PortLiving is comprised of a streetscape design along Main Street and East 6th Avenue that complies with the City of Vancouver Mount Pleasant Community Plan design guidelines. The general approach utilizes a variety of paving textures combined with appropriate trees and shrubs suitable for a pedestrian-friendly streetscape enhancement. The hardscape design of Heritage Alley expresses a richness in the paving surface that incorporates an Art Theme, in particular a contemporary “creek pattern” evoking the presence of Brewery Creek.
The proposal includes landscaping improvements to the public realm, such as new street trees, accent paving, planters, and seating elements.
